Let the countdown begin
I made it! Thanks goodness.
The first day of fall was a rainy gloomy day in Texas. Yuck! I couldn’t go for a walk which usually gets my endorphins going in the am so I decided on a home workout instead. Meh. It was something .. wasn’t the same as my walk though.
I decided that today was a good day to finish up book #29.. Shoe Dog. I’ve been into memoirs lately, and this one didn’t disappoint. This dude leveraged his passion for RUNNING to build a multi-billion dollar company. Talk about finding your purpose!!
While I was reading, I kept one eye on the window .. hoping for a break in the rain so I could take a quick walk. Wasn’t gonna happen today. The longer it rained, the more blah I felt. And this was weird. The weather usually doesn’t affect my mood.
But then it happened. I received the official message from Houston Methodist confirming my pre-admission appointment for surgery on October 20. I am to report to the hospital on October 15 (my birthday) for clearance! What a birthday present! 🎊
And just like, things are looking up! This little reminder was enough to shift my mood.
Let the countdown begin!
