Dec 27 Guess who’s here!

It’s December 27, and two of my most favorite people in the whole wide world came to Houston to see me. 😊😊 Momma Joy (left) and Cousin Shonta (right)

Well, that’s a bit misleading. My mom always planned to be here the day after Christmas. However, Shonta made a drop in before she heads to South Africa. The same trip that I was supposed to be joining her on! But you know how the saying goes, “you wanna make God laugh, tell Him your plans.” Well, it wasn’t even my trip to begin with. Lol. I invited myself. Shonta was accompanying her bestie, Meisha, to a wedding in Capetown. And I just knew they didn’t think they were leaving me home! We’d been planning this trip for more than six months. Outfits and itinerary on deck. Well, at least my outfits were. Shonta is famous for her last minute packing. Sorry babe. But this time, her last minute shopping served as a welcome distraction from my daily episodes of “the Young and the Cancer”. After I gave her a download of all that I had learned from the MRI report out, we cried a bit and then I taunted her with artificial sadness that she was leaving me. But she knew that I would have it no other way. Life is to be lived! I can’t wait to like all of their pics on the gram.
