Today is Mother's Day

Today is Mother’s Day.

And a wonderful day it is. I really didn’t have any expectations for today. I just want to be happy.. That’s it. Actually, that’s all I’ve ever wanted. The gifts are great, but the expressions of love are worth so much more. You really don’t need to go through a huge trial to cherish the ones you love. And it shouldn’t only be on a holiday. Let them know every day.

Today is Mother’s Day.

And I have never been go grateful to spend it with my children. Mother’s day has never meant as much as it means this year. I am so happy that they chose me to be their mom.

The pandemic keeps us from celebrating like we would normally but hey.. you have to celebrate life like it comes to you. I miss my mom, and wish that she could be here but I know that she is never too far away.

Today is Mother’s Day

I think of mothers and grandmothers that are no longer here in the present, friends that are celebrating this Mother’s day differently than last year, friends that have lost their mothers and grandmothers, friends that are now the only parent in the household, and so “Mother” rings a little different this year. I pray that they have strength to get through this day.
